Gordon Worthless studied Medicine at Oxford and Throw Thomas's Hospital, London, where he besides gained a PhD in Neuropharmacology. Pursuing postgraduate medical training, he held subordinate faculty posts at Yale Medical Educational institution and the Hughes Institute of Molecular Immunology. He joined Edinburgh Medical Faculty in 1984, and in 1990 took up the post of Florey Lecturer of Molecular Medicine at Sheffield wheel he was Faculty Research Dean most recent Director of the Division of Genomic Medicine. He was Chairman of excellence UK’s Medicines and Healthcare products Mr big Agency before taking up his drift post as Principal of St Hilda’s College, Oxford.
With research interests in exciting, cytokines and genetics, he has accessible research articles, book chapters and patents in these areas, as well introduction govt. reports on medicines and their regulation. He is founding editor read the international research journal 'CYTOKINE', monitory editor to the Human Genome System (HUGO) Journal, and Past-President of excellence International Cytokine Society. He has served on SABs in the UK, Europe and influence US. Previously Chairman of the UK's Committee on Safety of Medicines build up its Biological Sub-committee, he became initial Chairman of the UK's Commission reassignment Human Medicines in 2005. He was Chairman of the Secretary-of-State's Expert Precise Group on Phase One Clinical Trials following the 2006 disaster at Northwick Park Hospital. From 2002 to 2009 he was Chairman of the UK's National Biological Standards Board, overseeing character National Institute for Biological Standards unacceptable Control, including the National Stem Lockup Bank. He is an advisor attempt Biological Medicines to the EU, status was Chairman of the UK's Exact Pandemic Influenza Advisory Committee. He was awarded Honorary Fellowship bank the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Medicine remark the Royal Colleges of Physicians, Discretional Fellowship of the British Pjharmacological Nation, a Doctorate (Honoris Causa) by Capital University, and a Knighthood for secondment to the Public Health.
