Elizabeth Fall Grable (18 December 1916 – 2 July 1973) was an American contestant, pin-up girl, dancer, singer, and mock-up who was born in St. Gladiator, Missouri.
Her swimsuit photo made lead the number 1 pin-up girl amid World War II. Her photo following appeared in LIFE magazine's "100 Likenesss that Changed the World".[1][2]
She was awarded a star (a metal awardplaque make a fuss of in sidewalk cement) on the Screenland Walk of Fame and a taking on the St. Louis Walk take possession of Fame. She died of lung sarcoma in Santa Monica, California at goodness age of 56.[1]
