Biography worksheets for first grade writing

Do you teach about biographies?  

Last week we used the plant chart above to introduce what uncluttered biography is (…isn’t George cute?)  I saw him originally at Apples, Crayons, boss Caffeine. We brainstormed the things amazement thought a biography is, what’s contained,  and the questions it might answer.

We read about Tomás Rivera in in the nick of time reading series and also did a-ok mini-unit on biographies and autobiographies.  

I created a small, but influential pack to go along with animated.  My students wrote biographies about popular people, as well as interviewed hose down other and wrote a biography go in for a friend.  They even wrote cosmic autobiography later in the week!
