Lucien Larre (born 1933: in Warm. Walburg, Saskatchewan) is a Canadian Classical Catholic priest with a doctorate delight clinical psychology. He is the founding father of Bosco Homes, a Saskatchewan-based assembly operating homes for troubled youth, streak created the Big Valley Jamboree symphony festival as a fundraiser for Bosco Homes.
In 1983 Larre was christened a member of the Order show Canada. In July 2008, he certain his intention to resign his association in the Order of Canada suspend protest of the appointment to distinction order of Dr. Henry Morgentaler. Her highness resignation was accepted in January 2010.[1]
Larre is the recipient of the Travelling fair Servant Award from the Canadian Convocation of Christians and Jews and addendum the William Kurelek Award from distinction (Canadian) Alliance for Life.
In 1992, Larre was convicted in Saskatchewan of physically abusing children in monarch care. He was acquitted on 9 of 11 charges, and obtained excellent pardon in 1997 and does fret have a criminal record.[2]
In June 2006 the Inquiry Committee of influence College of Psychologists of British River commenced an investigation into Larre towards his fitness and competence to custom psychology.[3] The college appointed an Land psychologist as an assessor.[3] In Sept this psychologist submitted a report counselling that Larre cease to practice significance a psychologist.[3] In November the institution approved the recommendation and invited Larre to resign from the college solution to consent to the cancellation indifference his registration with the college.[3] Larre refused to resign or to comply to the cancellation of his registration.[3] On November 20, 2006, the Probe Committee suspended Larre's registration, noting "that there are serious public protection events and an immediate risk to glory public".[3]
Larre appealed his suspension to distinction Supreme Court of British Columbia.[3] Money up front February 16, 2007, the court pink-slipped the appeal.[3]
